Group of women in colorful saris converse in a bustling market scene. Bright patterns dominate, creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere.

Women of the Ganges holds special significance, as it celebrates the strength and bond of women.

Inspired by the stories of my son's many journeys to India, I sought to capture the essence of these women as they come together to share their experiences, dreams, and challenges-conversations that resonate deeply across borders.

Through this artwork, I aimed to honour the universal themes of resilience, nurturing, and the pursuit of dreams that connect women across the globe. Each brushstroke is a tribute to their stories, capturing the essence of their lives and the beautiful power they embody.

As we just celebrated Mother's Day weekend, let's celebrate femininity that is both unique and universal, a reminder that women everywhere share similar hopes, struggles, and triumphs.

Now on view in The Power of She at SUMMER & GRACE GALLERY through June 1.
