Mr. White Shoes

Its such a pleasure to paint still life memorabilia from someone's life. My recent painting is that of a friend and mentor, Charles Juravinski. Our friends, Team Charles and Margaret, have lived the dream and together they built a life which included their vision, Flamboro Downs Racetrack. Charlie as we call him, used to drive his horses at some of the promotional events at Flamboro Downs and being the character he is, he did it so well. It's been my pleasure to paint some of these items, including his well worn and very iconic white shoes. He was forever known back in the day as "Mr. White Shoes" and therefore, appropriately named!
