GELMLUCART, MONTE CARLO

My vision for my “ She Believed She Could, So She Did” mixed media, was to incorporate aspects of all three of my children into this allegorical piece and to also portray my love of fashion. After all, for me personally as an artist, artwork imitates life. My approach was to infuse saved components of several bits of paper, from my travels, after collecting them while visiting different countries. Included are elements I brought back from France and Italy. Ultimately, my memories actually become a tangible part of each works. I also used clippings of my magazine articles from my column in the Country Register of Ontario magazine, along with acrylic paint and ink. I am in the process of packaging it up to be shipped for the long journey to Monte Carlo, Monaco. It’s always a pleasure to be part of the exciting GEMLUCART exhibition and to help raise much-needed revenue for cancer and cancer research. Located at the beautiful Auditorium Rainier lll, Boulevard Louis II, 98000, Monaco, the exhibition runs from October 9-20, 2018.
