Exhibiting for a Princess in Monte Carlo
Gaining recognition as an artist can take a lifetime of showing your work regionally and internationally. It is important to reach out when you feel you are ready.
Last fall Wendy was accepted into the prestigious 'GEMLUCART', the pinnacle of events in Monte Carlo. “This opened up a new world to me with world stage exhibition experience and friendships of artists from all over the world. This exhibition was under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness, Princess Caroline, and held at the Rainier Auditorium in Monaco. It was my painting Rendezvous, which was chosen for this Monaco show.
I also exhibited in a group show at a gallery in Nice, so we traveled to beautiful Nice for a day for the opening reception."
In 2009 Carmichael Bauld won a civic award, "Arts Person of the Year”, for the City of Burlington. This became a turning point for her as an artist. As a self-taught artist she said it gave her a type of “validation”, and led her to aspire to leave her comfort zone and turn towards showing all over the world.
Artists In Canada would like to congratulate Wendy Carmichael Bauld on her recent accomplishments, including having her painting titled “Altered Village” chosen to be included in the Multi-Faith Action Society Calendar for 2016. She is also a member of the FCA.
